Love and Marriage
Both are words I have trouble with but more importantly the and linking the two. I can get behind the first, but don’t necessarily think they need to be linked. That said, one of my sisters (cousins, ya know) in India recently stepped out and had a love marriage to a Christian man. We’re Hindu so this was some hubbub, especially as my family there is pretty devout. A month or so later, her brother decided to get engaged to a Muslim woman. I know where I stand on all this in terms of my own views on love and the institution especially in the states, but I’m sincerely really happy for all of them.
