A great piece on how India was portrayed in the 1950s, the early days of television. Especially more information on the high-budget “Eastern,” Tales of the 77th Bengal Lancers (NBC, 1956-1957), which definitely had more brownface examples, oh, and colonialism in postcolonial times.
